Boiler Operator

Chaska, MN

Currently looking for skilled individuals to fill the position of direct hire Boiler Operator opening with a company located in Chaska, MN. Interested candidates should have a 2nd Class "B" Minnesota Boiler Engineer's License, and 3-5+ years of industrial facilities maintenance experience.

Boiler Operator Job Description:

• Start Up/Shut Down/ Operation on heating and process steam systems.
• Managing water chemistry for both boiler feedwater and cooling tower water systems
• Repair and maintenance of process equipment and related support utilities, building and exterior equipment.
• Support proper running of utilities including ammonia refrigeration, steam and water, hot oil heating and compressed gas systems.
• Secure MGK's building and grounds and maintain a safe working environment for employees. This includes but not limited to air quality testing, spare parts ordering, tool and inventory management, equipment demo and installation, general knowledge of process operations.
• Assist in directing and supporting custodial personnel.
• Utilize company's CMMS to establish and update procedures, prioritize and record maintenance tasks.
• Complete other assigned tasks as requested. Boiler Operator Job Requirement:
  • High School Degree or G.E.D.
  • 2nd Class "B" Minnesota Boiler Engineer's license or higher
  • 3 to 5+ years industrial facilities maintenance, experience with and knowledge of mechanical and electrical repair.
  • General knowledge of production equipment, pipefitting, liquid, compressed gas and HVAC systems.
  • Must be willing to become forklift certified and don required PPE.
  • Must be team orientated with a positive attitude and goal focused objectivity.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and professional discipline to work at an efficient pace, safely executing work orders and prioritized demands.
  • Pipefitting, welding, fabrication skills, and refrigeration knowledge are all a plus.
    
    Compensation for Boiler Operator:
    
    The starting salary for the Boiler Operator position is $30-$40 an hour.
