Fairview is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to join our medical
imaging department at our M Health Fairview Clinic - Edina.
The Specialty Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients
and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic
imaging in multiple ambulatory settings and locations. Responsible
for providing quality age-appropriate patient care for patients
according to established standards of practice and works
collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The
specialty radiologic technologist supports all imaging procedures,
surgical cases, fluoroscopy studies, portable x-ray, and general
x-ray performed the ambulatory setting. Provides assist in the
opening of the supplies/equipment for surgical and special
procedure cases as well as responding to codes, trauma activations
and other emergent needs for imaging in an ambulatory care
environment.
Schedule: This position will be working 0.8 FTE (64 hours every two
weeks) working day/evening with an every other Saturday
rotation.

Maintains patient care
Performs examinations
Identifies relevant data from images accurately.
Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care
professional
Participates in crafting a culture of patient safety
Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
Verify patient identification and documentation
Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information
during all aspects of exam
Achieves quality diagnostic images through accurate patient
positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
Ensures patient data integrity
Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling,
billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and
archiving
Participates as an active team member
Orients and mentors new employees and students
Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement
initiatives
Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure
current knowledge required for position
Cleans and maintains rooms and supplies
Provides coordinated services with customers and care partners to
ensure high quality care.
Contributes to a positive work environment
Performs other duties as assigned
Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and
guidelines
Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment
is working properly.
Maintains a high level of proficiency
Accepts new technology as it's introduced into the facility
Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory
agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations
Required
Education
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
Experience
- 0 to 1 Year performing radiology services
License/Certification/Registration
- ARRT Certification/Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire
Preferred
Education
- Bachelors Degree
Experience
- 3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
License/Certification/Registration
- Advanced Imaging modality certification
Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a
period of time):
- Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health
Regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of quality control and safety standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications:
$33.24-$46.92 / Hourly
