Resettlement Network Services Guide (Team Lead) - US
EnterpriseNovember 2024Location: Twin Cities (Minnesota);
non-remote position (expected to work 80%-100% in office).Role:
Full-time, benefits eligible40 hours/week, weekday/daytime hours,
some evenings and weekends required.Reports to: Program
DirectorApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United
States.Languages: Seeking applicants with language proficiency in
English and in Somali, Oromo, Amharic, Spanish, Swahili, or other
languages represented by individuals new to Minnesota and the
United States.The Role:Join Alight's United States Enterprise as a
Guide (Team Lead). As an Alight Guide and Team Lead, you will
provide guidance and support to newcomers in Minnesota as a team
member in Alight's partnership with Minnesota's Resettlement
Network Services (metro area). You will also guide up to two team
members with responsibilities in these program areas.Specific
Responsibilities:We are seeking applicants to fulfill the following
responsibilities. Successful applicants will either hold one of
these responsibilities exclusively or split their time between two
of the following areas.Community Workshops:"Community Workshops
provide tiered educational workshops to new arrivals that help
build familiarity with systems and integration into communities.
Workshops include critical topics such as employment readiness,
public transit, financial literacy, public education, healthcare,
housing, public safety, and other relevant topics." (Resettlement

- Lead and participate in listening and co-creation sessions with
the community to understand needs and interests in this program
area.
- Host and lead regular (weekly) workshops (these may be in
English, another language in which you are proficient, or with
interpretation support) using the curriculum developed by the
service collaborative.
- Participate actively in regular meetings within Alight
(internally) and with the service collaborative (externally).
- Staff hours at the Service Hub for the metro-area Resettlement
Network Services, estimating up to 8 hours per week.
- Conduct required documentation per any internal and grant
reporting requirements including regular entries into a shared case
database system.
- Assist participants in completing the family wellbeing
inventory if required.
- Serve as an Ambassador of Alight and the Resettlement Network
Collaborative to the community at large, within the service
collaborative, and with other external partners/donors.Family
Resource Connections:"Family Resource Connections provide critical
assistance to families to resolve a wide array of immediate or
short-term needs. Services focus on assisting households to access
and navigate a wide array of community resources to resolve needs."

- Lead and participate in listening and co-creation sessions with
the community to understand needs and interests in this program
area.
- Provide walk-in and scheduled 1:1 appointments with families to
address needs, and provide guidance and navigation to the family to
referrals and community resources.
- Participate actively in regular meetings within Alight and with
the service collaborative.
- Staff hours at the Service Hub for the metro-area Resettlement
Network Services, estimating up to 8 hours per week.
- Conduct required documentation per any internal and grant
reporting requirements including regular entries into a shared case
database system.
- Assist participants in completing the family wellbeing
inventory if required.
- Serve as an Ambassador of Alight and the Resettlement Network
Collaborative to the community at large, within the service
collaborative, and with other external partners/donors.Additional
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Alight strives to consistently meet outcomes
defined by grantor and Alight.
- Contribute to department-wide performance on outcomes.
- Ensure thorough and accurate case notes in online case
management system and guide team members to adhere to case
management standards.
- Manage project budgets.
- Lead in reporting for assigned program areas.
- Other duties as needed, and any other activities that may be
required in a rapidly changing environment.Regular travel within
the Twin Cities Metro Area is expected, and it is expected to work
up to 8 hours at the Service Collaborative's service hub in the
metro area (location TBD).Qualifications:

- Fluent in English and a second language (Somali, Oromo,
Amharic, Swahili, Spanish, etc.), and comfortable communicating
in-person, over the phone, and via email.
- 3-5 years of customer service and program experience with a
high standard for customer service.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to make a human connection and engage with a variety of
people.
- Organizational skills and ability to track information.
- Driver's license and Motor Vehicle Check clearance along with
access to dependable transportation required.Salary Range: $55,000
to $62,000Benefits: Family Friendly, Learning & Development,
