Genesis10 is currently looking for a Senior IT Project Manager with Cloud Strategy & FinOps for an 8 month contract project for our client. Remote opportunity.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale projects, with a particular focus on Cloud Strategy and FinOps. This role is crucial in driving our client's organization's IT initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with our strategic goals. You will manage projects with budgets up to $5 million, lead vendor selection processes, and contribute to the development of our cloud strategy.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership: Lead and manage complex IT projects, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and best practices.
Cloud FinOps Management: Manage projects related to Cloud FinOps, including budget planning, cost optimization, and vendor management.
Vendor Management: Lead the RFP process for TBM and Cloud FinOps solutions, including vendor evaluation, selection, and contract negotiation.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines. Assist with the budget process for Cloud Strategy initiatives.
Strategic Planning: Support the strategic planning and execution of multi-year initiatives, contributing to the development of complex communication and management plans.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments and institutional committees to understand priorities, develop project action plans, and facilitate approvals.
Documentation & Policy: Develop and maintain project documentation, including policies, procedures, and operational guidelines for Cloud operations.
Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in project management practices, methods, and standards, fostering a project-focused culture within the IT department.
Communication: Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to management and end-user personnel.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Certification: Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required within three years of hire.
Cloud Knowledge: General working knowledge of Cloud-based IT projects.
FinOps Experience: Financial background with experience in FinOps for Cloud Operations.
Vendor Management: Proven experience in vendor evaluation, selection, and management.


Compensation: Hourly pay rate: $50 -$73/hr W2

We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
