service members.BAE Systems is hiring a Sr. Configuration
Management Analyst to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS)
business. As part of our team, you'll help manage changes to the
design of a large-scale leading-edge defense
program.Location/Travel/Schedule:
- This role can be based out of Minneapolis, MN or Sterling
Heights, MI
- This is a Hybrid position where you will work onsite 3 days a
week and remote 2 days a week on average
- This position will involve 10% travel domestically and may
require more travel if based in Sterling Heights, MI
- The role will work a 9/80 schedule where you will have every
other Friday off, based on business needsResponsibilities:
- Support Configuration Management activities related to the
design, development, and production of complex systems in a defense
environment, meeting technical, cost, and schedule objectives
- Develop, maintain, and execute Configuration Management
Plans
- Execute Engineering Bill of Material management solutions
- Plan and manage bid and proposal efforts with leadership
guidance
- Communicate staffing needs to leadership
- Support change against baselines for product data in the
Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) tool, generate CSA reports,
and mentor others in the use of the CSA tool
- Participate in Configuration Control meetings
- Monitor Data Management activities including SDRL and CDRL
deliveries to customers including Technical Data Packages
- Ensure proper program application of Configuration Management
processes and use of the product data management tool (PDM)
- Perform Configuration Audits
- Ensure sub-contractor compliance to contracts including
delivery of SDRLs and TDP elementsRequired Education, Experience, &
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of work experience or equivalent
experience
- Experience in Configuration Management
- Experience in Configuration Management Systems like Product
Data Management (PDM)
- Knowledge of Configuration Management Standards, including
industry CM standard EIA-649 and/or military standards
MIL-HDBK-61/MIL-STD-31000
- Strong computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare
appropriate analytics, metrics, documents, and reports
- Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally with
Design, Engineering, and Program Management
- Ability to make decisions, including in ambiguous
situations
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in
writing
- Attention to detail and good time management and organization
skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Engineering Degree
- NDIA/ CMPIC/ IPX Configuration Data Management (CDM)
Certification
- Experience in Defense, reviewing defense contracts for
Configuration and Data Management requirements
- Experience in Design Engineering Standards, including ASME
Y14.100
- Experience managing Bills of Material (BOM)
- Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas
- Ability to conduct research and develop presentation skillsPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
